Privacy Policy

Brenton Gourlay, sole trader, trading as Trade MatchR and Bins R Done (ABN 42 868 047 433) runs Trade MatchR and Bins R Done. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Customers: name, phone, email, street address, suburb, postcode, job details, dates, notes, voucher codes, and ratings you leave.
- Tradies: business and contact details, ABN, licence number, insurance documents, service area, trades, prices and quotes, and ratings customers give you.
- Businesses we invite: business name, phone, website, address and a business email address that the business has published publicly (for example on Google or its own website).
- Emails and calls you send us, and basic technical info such as when an email link was opened.
Why we use it
- To take your order or job, find local Tradies, show you quotes and connect you once you book.
- To deliver and collect skip bins, invoice you and contact you if anything changes.
- To check Tradies before they get jobs, and to show ratings and badges.
- To invite local businesses to quote on real jobs, with a one-click way to stop.
- To check and redeem game vouchers with the Find Brento's Pie game.
- To handle complaints, keep records the law needs, and stop fraud.
Who we share it with
- Tradies before booking only see your suburb, postcode and job details — never your name, phone, email or street address.
- The Tradie you book gets your contact details and address once the booking fee is paid, only to do your job. If a temporary Tasmania pay-at-job-start offer is explicitly available and you accept its contact-sharing agreement, only your selected approved Tradie receives those details before payment to arrange the job. Other Tradies do not receive them.
- Customers see a Tradie's business name, rating, badges and quote, and their contact details once booked.
- Service providers who run things for us: website and database hosting, email sending (including Microsoft Outlook), Google business listings, and payment processing when online payments start. Some of these may store data overseas, including in the USA.
- The Find Brento's Pie game, only to check a voucher code or award game points.
- Anyone the law requires us to tell, such as police or a regulator.
We don't sell your details or give them to anyone for their own marketing.
Marketing and emails
- Order and job emails are about your request. Every marketing or invitation email has an unsubscribe link, and we act on it straight away (always within 5 business days).
- Businesses we've invited can click "stop emailing me" and we will never email that address again.
Keeping it safe
Your details are kept in a secure database that only our team can access. Insurance documents are kept in private storage. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we'll tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as the law requires.
We keep records only as long as we need them for the job, accounts and tax (usually up to 7 years), then delete them.
Seeing, fixing or deleting your details
Email tradematchr@outlook.com or call 0457 882 380 to see the details we hold about you, correct them, or ask us to delete them. We'll reply within 30 days. We may need to keep some records for tax or legal reasons.
Complaints
Tell us first and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the OAIC at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
