Terms & Conditions
Last updated 19 October 2026
These terms cover the Trade MatchR website, order forms and emails (the "Service"), and Bins R Done skip bin hire. The Service is run by Brenton Gourlay, sole trader, trading as Trade MatchR and Bins R Done (ABN 42 868 047 433) — "we", "us". By posting a job, ordering a skip, quoting or signing up, you agree to these terms. We've kept them plain. If anything's unclear, email tradematchr@outlook.com.
1. What Trade MatchR is (and isn't)
- Trade MatchR is a matching service. We pass job requests to independent local businesses ("Tradies") and show customers the quotes they send.
- We are not the Tradie, and we're not a builder, plumber, electrician or any other trade. Tradies are not our employees or agents.
- The contract for the work is between the customer and the Tradie they pick. We're not a party to it.
- We don't promise any job will get quotes, a set number of quotes, a price or a discount. A discount only applies once a Tradie has confirmed it in their quote.
2. For customers
- Posting a job is free and doesn't book anything. It's a quote request.
- We send Tradies your suburb, postcode, job type, size and timing. Your name, phone, email and street address stay private until you pick a quote and pay the booking fee.
- Booking fee: when you pick a quote you pay us a booking fee of 10% of the quoted price, up to a maximum of $20 (we may change this amount for future bookings and will show it before you pay). The Tradie takes this fee off their quote, so your total price doesn't go up.
- The booking fee must be paid before any work starts. Once it's paid we pass your contact details to the Tradie.
- Temporary Tasmania launch exception, only when explicitly offered on your quote: you may agree to pay the booking fee when work starts instead. By accepting that agreement you authorise sharing your details with the selected approved Tradie to arrange the job before payment. The agreed fee comes off your quote, never on top. If cancelled before work starts, no fee is due. An invoice or job starting is not proof of payment; we mark the fee paid only after checking receipt. Ending the offer does not change an existing agreement. This exception does not apply to Bins R Done skip hires.
- Deposits and the rest of the price are paid straight to the Tradie on the terms they give you. We don't hold or handle that money.
- Give us accurate job details. If the job turns out different from what you described, the Tradie can change or withdraw their quote.
- 100% refund guarantee: if the work doesn't go ahead — for example the Tradie doesn't turn up, either of you cancels before work starts, or the job falls through — tell us within 14 days and we'll refund 100% of the booking fee. Once the Tradie has started the work, the booking fee is not refundable unless the law says otherwise.
- Check the Tradie's licence and insurance yourself for big or licensed jobs. Our badges show what a Tradie gave us at sign-up — see section 4.
- For residential building work over the limit set in your state (for example, home building contracts in most states), the law may need a written contract, a licensed builder and home warranty insurance. That's the Tradie's job to provide; ask for it before you pay a deposit.
3. For Tradies
- Joining and quoting are free. You only pay when a customer picks you: 10% of your quoted price, up to $20 per job (we can change this amount for future jobs with 30 days' notice).
- The fee is collected from the customer as their booking fee, and you take it off your price. For example: you quote $20,000, the customer pays us $20, and pays you $19,980.
- You must hold an ABN, and any licence, registration and insurance the law requires for the work, and keep them current. Tell us straight away if any of these lapse.
- You're responsible for your work, your quote, any written contract, home warranty insurance, safety on site, waste disposal, permits, tax and GST.
- Customer details we pass on are only for doing that job. Don't sell them, share them or add them to marketing lists.
- No going around us: if you get a customer through Trade MatchR, don't arrange that same job off the platform to avoid the fee. If you do, we may charge the fee anyway and close your account.
- New sign-ups are checked by our team before they get jobs. We can decline, pause or remove any account, for example for poor ratings, no-shows, complaints or false information.
- Your business name, rating, badges and quote are shown to customers. Ratings are left by customers; we may hide reviews that are abusive, fake or break the law, but we don't edit them to make you look better or worse.
4. Checks, badges and ratings
- ABN checked means the ABN given to us passed a format check. Licensed means the Tradie gave us a licence number. Insured means they gave us an insurance document. We don't guarantee these are current, cover your job, or that the Tradie's work will be good.
- Ratings are customers' own opinions after a job.
- Every Tradie is approved by our team before getting jobs, but approval isn't a guarantee of quality.
5. Bins R Done skip bin hire (Tasmania)
- Skips must be paid for before delivery. We won't send the truck until payment is received.
- Hire includes up to one week. Call us for an early pickup. Extra days may cost more.
- No asbestos, paint, chemicals, liquids or other batteries. Only car batteries are accepted, at the extra charge shown. Banned items may be returned to you or charged for disposal.
- Special-item charges, extra to bin hire: Fridge/freezer $40 each · Mattresses with springs $30 each · Car tyres $30 each · Car batteries $15 each · Gas bottles $10 each.
- Stack all these items on top so they can be easily separated. Keep everything below the top of the bin.
- Don't overfill above the top of the bin. We may refuse to collect an overfilled or overweight bin until it's fixed, or charge for the extra.
- You need permission to place the bin where you ask us to. If it goes on a road or footpath, you're responsible for any council permit.
- We take care, but we're not liable for damage to driveways, kerbs, lawns or underground services where the bin was placed where you asked, unless we were negligent.
- If we can't deliver on the day you picked, we'll contact you and offer a new time and a small discount.
- Mainland and non-Tasmanian skip orders are handled through Trade MatchR under sections 1–4.
6. Vouchers, promotions and the holiday draw
- Bins R Done vouchers from the Find Brento's Pie game are issued by the game, have no cash value and can't be swapped for cash.
- Outside our area, we'll ask Tradies to honour some or all of a voucher. That's up to them and is not guaranteed.
- The $5,000 Flight Centre holiday draw runs under its own promotion terms, which will be published before entries open. Not open to ACT residents. Entry details, dates and the draw are set out in those terms.
- Partner deals (for example with hire companies) apply only in selected areas and only while shown.
7. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under that law. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, our liability for a booking is limited to supplying the service again or refunding the booking fee you paid us.
Apart from those rights, we're not liable for the Tradie's work, prices, delays, damage or anything they do or don't do, as they're independent businesses. We're also not liable for indirect loss (like lost profits) to the extent the law allows.
8. Using the Service fairly
- No fake jobs, fake quotes, fake reviews, spam or abuse of customers, Tradies or our staff.
- Don't copy, scrape or misuse the website, our logos, videos or characters.
- We may change, pause or stop parts of the Service at any time.
9. Complaints and disputes
Tell us first at tradematchr@outlook.com or 0457 882 380 and we'll try to sort it within 10 business days. For problems with a Tradie's work, deal with the Tradie first. You can also contact the fair trading or consumer affairs office in your state.
10. Privacy
How we handle your details is in our Privacy Policy.
11. General
- We may update these terms. The version on this page applies to bookings made after it's posted.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia.
- If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
